Diploma In Operation Theatre & Anesthesia Technology (DOT & AT)
Overview
- An operation theatre technologist is a person who looks after all the work and management of the operation theatre which includes managing the patients in & out of operation theatre, looking after all the surgical instruments including their sterilization, arranging operation table, dressing table, instrument table, anaesthesia table as well as management of the operation theatre staff.
- An Operation Theatre Technologist also assists the surgeon during the surgical operations and looks after the drugs required for surgery, anaesthetic gases, drapes, linen & their sterilization.
- Aim of the course is to teach and train students in management of operation theatre along with handling a variety of operating instruments including electronic and advanced equipment used in modern operation theatres.
Eligibility
- Candidates should have passed SSLC with minimum of 55% marks
Duration
- 3 years of course and six month of internship.

Attendance
- 80% of total number of classes conducted in an academic year. Only such candidates are eligible to appear for university examination.
Internship
- 3 months (90days) of Clinical postings
Higher Studies
- Lateral entry for BSc OT( 2nd year BSc OT)
